On March 15, 2025, we launched My Real Estate Company™ (MyRECo™) in our home state of Iowa. But this launch wasn’t just a date on a calendar. It was the result of countless conversations, late nights, and even 18-hour Zoom calls fueled by a single belief: real estate deserves better.
Why Start a New Brokerage?
According to the National Association of REALTORS®, there are currently more than 1.5 million members, plus thousands of real estate professionals who are not part of NAR at all. Agents have no shortage of options.
So why start another brokerage? Because after spending years inside other national firms, we were tired. Tired of overpromises and underdelivery. Tired of systems that made life harder, not easier. Tired of leadership that talked about being agent-focused while staff were burned out and clients left confused.
